By Road
North from Pontypridd on A470, after 'Little Chef' near Abercynon, turn left onto A4049. Continue for approximately 5 miles through Mountain Ash, and at the roundabout in Cwmbach, turn left. Continue for approximately 1/4 mile to the next roundabout by 'ASDA' and turn right. Continue for a further mile to Aberdare and at the roundabout turn sharp left onto B4275(Cardiff Road) signposted Aberaman. Continue for approximately 1/4 mile to the pelican crossing. Turn right into Club Street ('Tafarn Blaengwawr' on the corner) Blaengwawr Comprehensive School is at the end on Club Street.
From Hirwaun on A465 (head of the Valley Road), take A4059 signposted Aberdare. Continue for approximately 11/2 miles to the roundabout and follow A4059 to the next roundabout. go straight across this and the next three roundabouts At the next roundabout, take B4275 (Cardiff Road) signposted Aberaman. Continue from above.

From Rhondda, on A4233 follow signs for Aberdare, passing through Maerdy, over the mountain and down into aberdare. At the T junction there is a one-way system - turn left and continue for approximately 1/4 mile. At roundabout, turn right, signposted Cardiff, continue to the next roundabout and go straight across. At the next roundabout turn right onto A4059 and continue to the next roundabout. Go straight across and follow signs for Cardiff. At the next roundabout, take B4275 (Cardiff Road) signposted Aberaman. Continue from above.

Aberdare Railway Station is approximately 10 minutes walk.
